InteriorThe cabin is equipped with five individual executive seats, a forward three place couch and a belted potty which doubles as a legal 9th seat if needed. All chairs and the couch are finished in a tannish gold leather that is very attractive and in excellent condition. Side panels are finished in a coordinating blue pattern cloth. Tables, drawers and refreshment center are high gloss burl wood. The forward refreshment center has ample storage space, hot Mapco and lots of drawers. The fully enclosed lavatory, located in the rear of the cabin, has a belted flushing potty, a sink and a small closet/storage area. This interior is in excellent condition overall, however, it almost looks as if the seats and other areas were refurbished but the carpet was not. The only item in the interior that I found to need replacing is the carpet. Changing the carpet alone, maybe even to a different coordinating color would make the entire interior look relatively new.
ExteriorThe exterior is an attractive split paint scheme with the lower being a deep midnight blue, upper is white separated by gold accent stripes. Other than the typical wearing on some of the screw and rivet heads, which could be taken care of relatively easy by a good paint detail shop, the overall paint is very solid, has no fading or discoloration and maintains a very good shine. Boots are also in very good condition.
Remarks:The Westwind has always been a lot of aircraft for the
money. When you consider what the
Aircraft will do, and what it can be purchased for today, with full MSP
programs, it’s an even better buy. I
can’t think of another aircraft that can be purchased for even close to the
price of the Westwind that will easily fly over 2,000 Nautical Miles, non-stop,
with a substantial payload. For a first
time buyer, the risk of losing hundreds of thousands of dollars is
substantially reduced, and the fact that the aircraft maintenance program is
based mostly on flight hours, as opposed to calendar, makes the Westwind a
great choice for lower time users as well.
